You've probably heard the quote "the more you know, the more you realise you don't know".
But, what I have discovered during my 11+ year exploration into solving porn addiction is that the more you know, the more you realise you don't need to know. During most of my years struggling with porn addiction, I consumed copious amounts of information on porn addiction. I read plenty of books and watched hundreds of YouTube videos. However, how much of that information actually helped me? Well, looking back the answer is clear - none of it truly helped me. If it had have helped me effectively, I wouldn't have continued to go on streaks and have ups and downs. Taking in information is not always productive. There comes a time when experiencing a moment of compulsive desire is inevitable. And in that exact moment of desire, random bits of information are not going to help you. Instead, you need a practical way of engaging the rational part of your mind so you can think through your choice in that exact moment and make a decision grounded in logic. That is what Beyond Compulsion Academy exists to provide people with.
