Stop porn and feel good about it

Most people feel terrible about stopping their compulsive behaviours. They feel like it is something they have to do and like they are giving something up. They try for a little while and then feel so bad about it that they eventually relapse. But, when you get out of feelings of deprivation, identify junkie thoughts, and use a script - the power shifts. You realise you get to stop watching porn. You are doing this for you and you can feel very empowered about your choice.
One of our newer clients shared some amazing benefits on the weekly check-in this week and I loved the part about laughing at junkie thoughts in particular.

With the Beyond Compulsion method, you will experience some temporary discomfort. There is no getting around that - no matter what your approach. What we specialise in is helping people understand what is going on in their mind so they can make rational choices, moment by moment, and be the one in control.
This enables our clients to stop, stay stopped, and feel good about doing so.
