Porn Addiction Doesn't Have To Be Forever (Slip Ups Don't Happen)

In a lot of porn addiction recovery groups, there is this notion of it being a never ending journey of relapse and streaks. The idea is that one day we will get to a position where the desires will be gone and like a miracle, we will be free. The truth is that the only thing stopping you from being free of porn is the skill and training required to deal with the part of your mind that wants to watch porn. Once that part of this problem is mastered, you get to live on the straight line for good, and enjoy the process of doing so. The "slip-up" mentality is ubiquitous in the porn addiction recovery world. It does much more harm than good. You do have the ability to stop engaging in porn at all times. But, you can only do this and feel good about it when you realise that you are completely in control of your choices and that you do always have the option to go back to porn. Believing that you are "slipping up" when you relapse prevents you from ever taking 100% ownership of your actions. Taking responsibility is absolutely needed to stop porn.
A number of our clients have previously spent between $5,000 - $10,000 on a different porn addiction recovery program before joining BCA.
In our latest YouTube video / podcast episode, we talk with one of our clients (Joe) about his experience in this program and how the BCA methodology is different, in a critical way.
