More focus and more time WITHOUT watching porn

A lot of men think that if they choose to join the Beyond Compulsion Academy, they are going to have to give something up. They feel like they are going to have to spend hours and hours watching video content and staying accountable all the time. They think that it is going to be tortuously difficult and they are going to have to go all in on committing to the program. But, none of this is true!

This week one of our clients shared under our weekly win's post that before joining the program he was concerned if he'd have the time for it.

In his own words, the program has "actually given me time back". This client will be submitting his PhD thesis soon and has found it the perfect time to take back control of his mind.

Post from client saying It’s been a solid week! No major wins to report, but I’ve noticed a big improvement in my focus compared to just a few months ago.
It’s funny — I remember telling Tom that one of my biggest concerns before starting this program was whether I’d have enough time for it, but committing to it has actually given me time back. I used to lose so much time caught in cycles of frustration & self-deprecation — feelings I blamed on external pressures like study or life in general. But the truth is, they were being driven by my addiction. The apotm would constantly pitch porn as a “solution” to those feelings, & I’d tell myself, “I just need to engage so I can move on & focus again.” But as we all know, that never works — it only makes the cycle worse.
That feels like a lifetime ago :) with 2 months until I submit my PhD thesis, I honestly couldn’t imagine a better time to have stumbled upon this program.

This is critical because so many people believe that stopping their porn use or any other compulsive behaviour will take so much away from them. They think they need the porn to deal with stress or to relax after a long day's work. Unfortunately, the thoughts that porn helps people deal with stress are based on misinformation which the addicted part of the mind (APOTM) latches onto.

The truth is that being stuck in a constant conflict of doing something you both want to do and want to stop is creating more stress. Remember though, you don't have to stop watching porn.

But, if you choose to do so and you do it right (without using willpower, without NoFap streaks and without being stuck in feelings of deprivation) then the benefits are invaluable.
