How My Neural Pathways Have Changed Using The Script

Last night on our Beyond Compulsion Academy group call, one of our clients shared how he had recently been on holiday and had a few compulsive desires. He had dealt with these using his 5-Fact rewiring script and so all was good. On the call, he shared how he'd listened to my story of relapsing after holidays before I had learned the Beyond Compulsion method. I used to always get home and feel a "come down" kind of feeling and then go to porn. Shortly after first learning the BC method, I spoke to Mari about the fear I had surrounding an upcoming holiday. I told her "Mari, I am scared I will come back from this holiday and relapse. What do I do?" She told me that if you're thinking about relapsing in the future, you are wanting to engage in your compulsive behaviour right now. And therefore I should read my script if I ever think about relapsing in the future. I took Mari's advice on board and now my neural pathways have changed.
The thought of "what if I relapse when I return from my holiday?" doesn't even come up anymore. This is because I've specifically rewired that neural pathway using my script. Tonight I am getting on a plane to go to Porto in Portugal. It is my first holiday in a while. I'll be spending the next 5 days there with my friends from school. There is zero doubt that I will relapse at any point. That is because I have used the script to retrain my brain and disconnect the neural pathways that used to go from going on holiday to relapsing. And even if I did experience any compulsive desires, that would not be a problem. I'd simply do what I always do in any moment of compulsive desire - use my script in that specific moment. Changing your neural pathways isn't always comfortable or easy. But, for those willing to experience temporary discomfort - permanent mental freedom is absolutely possible.
