The Algorithm and Porn Addiction

For around 2 or 3 years, I let the addicted part of the mind (APOTM) bullshit me into believing that "I wasn't watching porn". As long as it wasn't on an actual porn site, it was okay, right? I knew this was a lie really and kept resetting my counter after each and every relapse. This lie came from the part of my mind (APOTM) that would do anything to get me to seek out sexual content. Fast forward to today and social media and algorithms are crazier than ever. Due to the money being made on OnlyFans, many women are now trying to lure men in via their social media accounts. As such, many social media platforms are becoming increasingly full of sexual material. It is more important than ever to get clear on your intentions when it comes to porn addiction. Is your goal to simply go on a long streak? Or do you want to stop engaging in all compulsive behaviours and take back control of your life for good? I recommend the latter. By letting an algorithm choose what you consume, you are letting strangers in silicon valley use technology to decide what you look at.
When you deep it, you are letting your life be controlled by someone else.
And often, they are going to decide to show you content which is of a sexual nature as they know this result in you wanting to stay on on their platform longer.
For years, I consented to helplessness. I let the addicted part of the mind take control. I felt like a victim. I acted like a puppet on a string. But, that all changed when I got the right training and realised that I do have a choice. Everything I choose can be decided by me and only me.
My decisions are all mine, just as your decisions are all yours.
