Resolved Desires

I used to think there was some special place that I could arrive at. A fantasy land where I'd achieve utter bliss. Some zen guy standing on top of a mountain comes to mind. But that just isn't the reality of overcoming a porn addiction.

I just got back from a week in Spain with my girlfriend and parents and I am feeling very grateful.

Grateful to have gone Beyond Compulsion and grateful to all of the amazing people I get to work with day in and day out.

Overcoming porn addiction will not solve every problem in your life.

However, in my opinion, based on my experience - overcoming a porn addiction will undoubtedly solve the biggest problem in your life.

The most valuable skill I have learned in my life has been to deal with desires directly, knowing how to think through desires rationally, at all times.

Cultivating this skill doesn't lead to superpowers, but it creates the space for more connection, more clarity, and more freedom.

I am not special. I received a thorough education from Mari Paulus and if you are willing to do the work of facing the addicted part of the mind head on, you can do the same.
