Stopping for a while and then finally giving in

Most people who attempt to stop watching porn have moments where they are full of motivation.

"This is it now"

"That was the last time"

"I'm never going to do it again"

And, then some days or weeks go by and they feel terrible. "This is too difficult"

"These urges are never going to go away" "I have to give in, I'll just do it once"

And they inevitably end up relapsing. Feelings of deprivation play a big part in this cycle.

Thinking creates feelings. And our feelings can influence the actions we take. That is why at the Beyond Compulsion Academy, we don't install blockers and tell you to go on a jog every morning. No, that wouldn't help you long term because the problem is in the mind. Instead, we focus on helping clients change how they think through the installation of a script in moments of compulsive desire - so they can change their neural pathways correctly.

Fact 1 and Fact 2 is a great starting place for anyone wishing to learn more.
